B-Dubs

Last night Stephen and I took the kids to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. (Speaking of B-Dubs, I love their new commercial with the football ref. Anyhow...) It's one of our favorite places to take the family to eat. All the noise from the people and tv's keep us from worrying about our kids interrupting others. And since smoking was banned in Ohio--it's perfect!

Anyhow, Stephen and I had both ordered a beer from the bar. He got a Sam Adams and I got my usual Miller Lite. After a while, I noticed that Stephen's glass had a big crack in it. Nothing you could actually feel, but it was there nonetheless. He kind of looked at it and shrugged it off. Then, as he took his next drink, he noticed a piece of broken glass in his cup, probably about 3 inches long! It hadn't come off of his glass, so I inspected mine. We noticed that the outside of my glass, on the bottom, was missing a big piece.

The manager was walking around, so we flagged him down. We showed him the broken glasses and the big piece of glass that was in the cup. His response was, "Oh, sorry about that, I'll take that off your bill". Ummm...you THINK?!? So he took our unfinished beers and brought us a Coke instead. We paid our bill without the cost of the deadly beers on it, and that was that.

Do you think we should have taken it further? I mean, thankfully, Stephen didn't cut himself with the jagged piece of glass that was in his cup. But, do you really think a simple "oops, sorry" is sufficient?

I don't know, since I use to be a waitress I'd say let it go and it taken off your bill should be okay. But then a part of me says you should write corprate about it maybe?
